Takedown procedure

GameShark Labs LLC respects the intellectual-property rights of rights-holders, content creators, and community archivists. If you believe content on SharkVault infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act on, follow the DMCA notice procedure below. For non-IP concerns (factual errors, ethical objections, personal-data removal), see the Other removal requests section at the bottom.

DMCA takedown notice

Send a written notice to legal@gamesharklabs.dev including all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (registration number if available; URL of the original if published online).
  2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material on SharkVault, with a specific URL (e.g. https://vault.gamesharklabs.dev/game/<slug>) and the section name where the material appears.
  3. Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
  4. A statement made in good faith that you believe use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.

Response timeline

  • Acknowledgment within 2 business days of receipt.
  • Resolution (removal, modification, or denial with explanation) within 7 business days of acknowledgment.
  • We will notify the affected user (if any) and provide them with a copy of the takedown notice.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the takedown was improper, you may file a counter-notice to legal@gamesharklabs.dev including: identification of the removed material (URL + section), a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, your contact information, and consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court for the district where you reside.

Repeat-infringer policy

Accounts repeatedly subject to valid takedown notices will be suspended or terminated. Repeat-infringer determination follows the standard "three strikes within a 12-month window" model.

Other removal requests

For factual corrections, citation requests, ethical concerns (e.g., content about a minor, doxxing risk, harassment), or personal-data removal under GDPR/CCPA, email legal@gamesharklabs.dev with the URL and a description of the concern. No perjury statement is required for non-DMCA requests; we evaluate each on its merits.
